Drawing by LAC George Bishop dipicting a low level attack mission to Belgium on the 11th April 1943 by four Mosquito's of 139 Squadron who were also based at RAF Marham.

That day the lead aircraft hit a high tension cable, but luckily survived the impact, bringing back 15 feet of the line snagged in its bomb doors.

Mosquito DZ459 was flying from right to left in this view when it went through the HT electricity cables (just visible) to one side of the pylon in the foreground.

Freer's Wood was where B-17 42-31898 came down on 15th July 1944.
St Margaret's School is close to where Battle K9328 crashed on 11th August 1939.
